Brazil - A continent of opportunity

Scale, Diversity & Strategic Access

Brazil is not just a country — it is a continental economy. With over 215 million people, vast natural resources, and the largest GDP in Latin America, Brazil offers scale that few emerging markets can match.

From São Paulo’s financial power and industrial base to Rio de Janeiro’s tourism and energy  sector, from agribusiness in the Cerrado to logistics hubs along the Atlantic coast, Brazil combines diversification with international potential.

  • The gateway to Mercosur (a 295+ million consumer market)

  • One of the world’s largest food and commodity producers

  • A fast-growing destination for real estate and infrastructure investment

  • A country rapidly shifting to diversify its economy and undergoing continuous regulatory and digital transformation

For international companies and investors, Brazil presents opportunity — but also complexity. Local knowledge, trusted networks, and regulatory guidance are essential to succeed.

That is where we, Ipanema International, operate

A country in motion

Tax system reform

In 2026 Brazil started a complete overhaul of its tax system, phasing out the current model.

Long considered a major hurdle for (international) businesses, Brazil is implementing a new, best-practice, approach on federal and state taxes to increase efficiency and reduce complexity

Green energy pioneer

Roughly 88% of Brazil’s electricity is generated from renewable sources, allowing for the production of low-carbon materials.

Brazil is currently refitting its port infrastructure to increase exports in green hydrogen, bioenergy, and biosmass energy to match global increase in demand.

FDI shift

Traditionally an exporter of agricultural products and raw materials, foreign investments are growing in  technological, real estate, and tourism sectors.

Part of an overall diversification of its production base, Brazil is attracting new kinds of investments.

Tourism records

Brazil saw an unprecedented number of international visitors in 2025 — over 9 million foreign tourists for the full year, a ~37% increase compared to 2024.

With its diverse natural environment and uplifting culture, Brazil is fast becoming a major global tourism destination.

São Paulo - business hub

Considered the economic capital of Latin-America, São Paulo alone contributes roughly 30% to Brazil’s GDP, more than many entire Latin-American countries.

It hosts Brazil’s B3 stock exchange, a growing startup ecosystem and LATAM’s top universities and research centers.

Real estate growth

Property value increase nationwide has outpaced inflation in recent years, growing by about 6.5% in 2025 while analysts expect  continued growth due to ongoing demand, supply scarcity and economic growth.

Both coastal and urban real estate maintain steady a ROI.
