According to the\u00a0Food and Agriculture Organization, the country is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the world\u2019s largest exporter of soybeans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the world\u2019s largest exporter of sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>among the largest exporters of beef and coffee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These export flows make efficient logistics networks essential for economic performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Investments in Ports and Logistics<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 95% of Brazil\u2019s foreign trade is conducted through seaports, according to Brazilian port authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The largest port in the country is the\u00a0Port of Santos, located in the state of S\u00e3o Paulo. It handles over 160 million tons of cargo annually and accounts for approximately 30% of Brazil\u2019s foreign trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, several other ports are being expanded, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Port of Paranagu\u00e1\u00a0\u2014 a key export hub for grains and agricultural products<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Port of Itaqui\u00a0\u2014 an important export hub for minerals and soybeans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Port of Pec\u00e9m\u00a0\u2014 a rapidly growing industrial port complex<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Port of Pec\u00e9m is developing into a strategic hub for industry and energy.
